The freight forwarders are required to obtain freight forwarding operation licences from the local government authorities. This would also involve licences for import/export operations that will have varying requirements and fees depending on the extent of services offered.

Compliances related to China's customs laws and international trade regulations are absolute and non-negotiable. Freight forwarders must ensure total accuracy in shipment documentation for smooth crossing of cargo across national borders without any penalties.
